The MDC product line has evolved against a backdrop of careful research and development as well as the implementation of the latest in automated manufacturing techniques. Multiple axis Mazak® CNC machining centers are at the heart of all metal machining operations at the Hayward, California, facility. These sophisticated, robotically controlled machines are designed for continuous operation producing finished components from raw stainless steel. Engineering and design are routinely implemented using AutoCAD® computer work stations networked with one central system which is accessible to all production facilities. The main manufacturing facilities located in Hayward, California, total over 106,000 square feet. Over ninety-five percent of MDC products are manufactured and stocked at this location. A production plant located in Sarasota, Florida, produces MDC’s high and ultrahigh vacuum electrical feedthroughs and optical viewports.

MDC maintains substantial inventory levels of its basic catalog components so it can respond quickly to urgent customer needs and requirements. Within the continental US, every effort is made to ship stock components the day after an order is received. In the event that an item is not in stock, or if the component is required with a special size, type or quantity, a firm delivery date will be established and quoted by the MDC technical sales engineers. 

MDC has assembled a worldwide network of distributors and representatives forming an experienced staff of vacuum scientists, engineers and technicians which provide the support and communication channels necessary for a solid and long-term business partnership. This network was constructed by recruiting prominent and reputable sales organizations from around the world which share MDC’s commitment to quality and service. In the United States and Canada, sales representation is divided into smaller state and provincial territories. In the Pacific Rim market, MDC has representatives in Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. Representation for all of the European continent is provided through sales offices in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy. In the Middle East, representation is available in Israel.
